It doesn&rsquo;t matter how many times we go to Le Cayola it&rsquo;s always amazing. The food is just the best, the staff are very professional, charming and attentive. They make you feel special and whatever you reason to be at Le Cayola they will make it a meal to remember.

Excellent restaurant in a fabulous location. Our lack of French was met by our waiting staffs excellent English. We try to get by in French which is appreciated here. Fabulous food. Carbonara, margarita pizza, lasagne and pasta pomodoro were our dishes and all plates were cleared. Excellent value at

Excellent restaurant.jeblai discovered with fork tea. Don&#39;t miss the entrance a mollet egg with a sauce 👍 the menu has &euro; 34 a good deal. I&#39;ll come back this summer because they have a beautiful terrace.

First visit to this restaurant. Five of us went - a mixed British/French group. Staff were great - attentive and friendly.  Food was good, nice selection on the menu and all our choices proved to be of excellent good quality.

The brick decoration of the restaurant did not fit with the  general frame (cruise/boat decoration) It could have been better.

The ambience of this restuarant is always stunning with its clifftop views of the atlantic and the pleasant climate of the vendee. The staff are always superb and this year we had a waiter who spoke very good english which really helped. The food was very good (we had the tasting menu) and I only gave it slightly less than full marks as I think other years it has been slightly better (we have been every summer for four years now). Our favorite dish was the St Pierre fish and also the lobster. The choice of wines was really superb and nicely complemented the different dishes - well worth the extra money. We always love coming to the Cayola, it represents superb value for money for the exquisite dining on offer and the setting is unbeatable.

We have dined here each time we have travelled to the Vendee and it is always a special experience. The location is stunning as is the food and service.

We have a maison secondaire in Talmont and we and our family have always tried to visit La Cayola because the food, location and ambiance have always been fantastic.However we were disappointed on this occasion1. the lady who took our drinks order was quite surly and not all welcoming2. Previously we had a choice of bread and speciality regional butter from regions. This time we just had a few bread rolls plonked on the table by the above lady3. There were no side plated for the bread4. Previously had the different wine with each course option we were told this was no longer available.5. Previously had a number of amuse  bouches between courses. This time just some bread and fish paste at the start.6. My starter was just one piece of asparagus with some langoustine paste. Previously all my starters had been fantastic this was very poor in comparison7. The main just had 2 small pieces of lamb which was very good, would have liked 1 or 2 more pieces,  but no other refinements to raise it to haute cuisine. 8. The ladies previously like having the stools to put their handbags but no longer provided. This just used to add to the restaurant being special We will probably give the restaurant another try as the location and setting are still superb. Also most of the staff were very welcoming. The food was good just not quite to the level previously experienced
